My Passion for a Great Cup of Coffee was within me - even before I had the thought of formulating my own blends. Now my job is also my Passion. Can't get much better than that!
All of my 8 Coffee Blends consist of at least 3 different types of Beans. Each type of Bean in each blend is roasted separately- at different temperatures- before they are blended together to make a particular blend.
As the growing season changes, the coffee beans will change in size- just like most crops. My Master Roaster, that travels the world annually to select the perfect pick, knows how to adjust the roasting process to these changes. The result is a consistent low acid- full flavor- stomach friendly blend!
Freshly ground Big Fat Espresso Beans is whats in my brewer this morning. Originally the Big Fat was developed for use in an espresso machine. Then I tried it as a Regular Brew and it was fantastic! It is the Smoothest of all my blends, has a Mid Range Boldness and is Very Stomach Friendly.
Have you ever noticed fillers in other brands of ground coffees? Some of those particles are actually the coffee bean hull. If you grind your own coffee beans and use that coffee within a few hours- the bean hulls do have flavor. But once those hulls dry out they become tasteless.
All of the bags of my ground coffee have had the hulls vacuumed out. That is why it takes less of my coffee to brew a pot compared to other blends.
In 1999 when I began formulating Coffee Blends I knew there were many people like my Mom-that could only drink a Decaf Coffee. It was important to me that all Coffee Lovers would be able to have a Premium Cup of Coffee- at a fair price. The Sunset Beans are decaffeinated in Germany, using the Swiss Water Method. Most decaffeinating processes use chemicals. The Swiss Water Method is Chemical Free!
