Coffee beans that are grown above 3,000 ft. of elevation are called Arabica Beans. Beans that are grown below 3,000 ft. are called Robust Beans, which are an inferior low grade bean. All of my blends contain 100% Arabica Beans which are grown at elevations of 3,600 ft. and above. These beans are used in all the world’s greatest coffees.
A mature coffee tree will produce one pound of coffee per growing season. It takes 2,000 hand-picked Arabica coffee cherries to make ONE roasted pound of coffee – or approximately 4,000 beans.
Water process is a decaffeination process developed in Switzerland using only water to remove caffeine from green coffee beans.
